Do 1 Thing Free Calendars

It used to be that it was easy to get a free calendar; banks, furniture, hardware and other kinds of stores gave them out to their customers.  That’s not happening much anymore!  The Hillsdale County Emergency Management team is doing it though.  Consider it an early Christmas present from them to you.
These calendars are available at the MSU Extension office at 20 Care Dr., in Hillsdale. Come to the Extension office Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon or 1:00 -5:00 p.m. and pick up your free calendar. We will be closed between Christmas and New Year’s.  So come out before then or come after January 2nd.
Do 1 Thing is a non-profit organization that aims to help build stronger communities.  When people are prepared, emergency responders can help more people.  When people are prepared themselves, they can help their neighbors and community.
Do 1 Thing is a12-month program that makes it easy for you to prepare yourself, your family, and your community for emergencies or disasters.  Being prepared for disasters and emergencies can seem like a big job.  Many people don’t know where to start.  The Do 1 think calendar can help you take small steps each month to become better prepared.
Sometimes free things are worth what you pay for them.  But these 2012 colorful calendars are really nice with big squares so you have lots of room to write all your appointments and activities.  They also provide great tips to help you become prepared.  Becoming prepared is a good resolution for 2012 that would be easy to keep using the simple tips given in this calendar.
