4-H Shooting Sports Instructor Training Workshop

Date: April 27, 2012 - April 29, 2012
Location: Kettunen Center
This workshop offers a variety of training sessions including rifle, shotgun, archery and hunting and wildlife which are partial fulfillment of the requirements to be a MI 4-H Shooting Sports Instructor.  Join us and see all that the 4-H shooting sports program has to offer!  Learn how we foster positive youth development through the shooting sports, and try techniques that effectively help youth learn safe and proper use of guns and archery equipment.  You do NOT need to retake the training unless you’ve been inactive for more than 3 years or your certification has lapsed.  Open to new and veteran adult volunteers and youth ages 16 and above.

Please read the Program Announcement carefully as this workshop requires preregistration for the various shooting sports disciplines.  Additionally pre-registration for session tracks is required for the entire conference and the announcement will guide you through that process.  Please note that indicating the same track for the first and second options does not constitute two different choices.  In those cases where a discipline is full, the participant will be placed in a track with openings contingent on the appropriate certifications.

You can access the announcement online at the MSUE 4-H Workshop Registration System.  Additionally, participants can now access the announcement on the 4-H Youth Development website at http://4h.msue.msu.edu/4h/home at both the event page for the 4-H Workshops and the Program Area for Shooting Sports.

Please call the MSU Extension Office for further information (517) 439-9301.
