Options for late-summer planting during a drought

10:00 Nottawa Rd x Spring Creek Rd. (south of Mendon)
Tour sorghum-Sudangrass, Japanese millet, and teff grass plots (planted July 31); discuss agronomics, economics, drought-tolerance, and forage quality with MSU Extension educators and Larry Walton

11:15 17278 US 12 (east of White Pigeon, dairy farm)
See Steve Post’s sorghum-Sudangrass (grazed and baled as hay) and his cool-season forage mix 

12:00 Lunch at The In-Between, 21355 US 12 (not free)
