When melting chocolate in the microwave or double boiler, line bowl or pot with waxed paper. Chocolate is easy to pour and easy to scrape off the paper. Non is wasted.
Gently clean chrome with white vinegar. Remove stubborn marks with a solution of baking soda and warm water. Rinse.

If salt from roads leaves marks on the carpet in your car, wash with equal amounts of warm water and vinegar. Let dry, then vacuum.
To get rid of indoor plant bugs, put a few drops of liquid detergent in the water when you water your plants. When the bugs go into the soil at night, they should die.

Household Hints - Save time, save money, save energy
When you receive junk mail which includes return envelopes, use the envelopes to store small items such as seeds, pictures etc.
Wipe tar spots on cars with a little linseed oil or eucalyptus oil. Let the oil soak until the tar softens, then wipe it off with a paper towel moistened in some fresh oil.
