***Sign up for one or all of the communication contests that
start today and run through July 24th.*** From cloverbuds to senior
age divisions and a section for out-of-state participants as well.
1st Contest - Prepared
Public Speaking- Youth register, pick their own topic, record their
speech and submit it via Facebook by June 19th.
2nd Contest- Predetermined
Topic- Youth register and then are given a choice between three topics
as early as June 15th, they will record their speech and submit the
video via Facebook by June 26th .
3rd Contest- Impromptu –
Youth register, then the week of June 29th contestants will be sent
a zoom link and call time. They will connect via zoom and be given three fun
easy topics to choose from. Contestants will wait in a waiting room to prepare
their speech, which requires zero research, once time is up contestants are
pulled into the main zoom room to perform their speech. This contest will be
followed by a question/ answer session from the judges. This is fun,
interactive contest with simple fun topics so if you love public speaking or
just want to give it a try this is fun place to start.
4th Contest- Demonstration – Youth register, then will prepare
their demonstrations, record them and upload their videos by July 10th.
5th Contest – Clowning/Acting-
July 13-24th. This contest will give new life to the art of clowning
in 4-H and has added an acting section as well. Watch for great resources
and classes to be shared prior to the week of this contest and give
clowning/acting a try even if you have never done it before.

This is a free contest with prizes to be mailed after the
contest. Medals will be awarded for Gold(1st), Silver(2nd),
and Bronze(3rd) winners as well as award certificates to the top 10
in each category and participation certificates to everyone.
