The Michigan Stay Well grant program was developed to assist people in coping with anxiety and distress that the COVID-19 pandemic may have created. In providing this support, 2 different series were designed to look at ways people can build on existing resilience.
The first is the Summer Resilience Series; an 8-week series, with subject matter experts from around the state, prepared to offer resources to help people grow and be more healthy. Examples of sessions include mindfulness, meditation and exercise to decrease depression. Check out the details of the topics and presenters on the attached flyer. You are able to participate in 1 or all 8 sessions!
The second series, Draw Your Feelings will meet for 6 weeks and is designed for parents and children (approximately ages 2-10). Draw Your Feelings is designed to help children learn to share their emotions verbally while increasing emotional intelligence. This interactive series will allow parents and children to learn ways to express emotions through art-based projects together. You are able to participate in 1 or all 6 sessions!
For more information and to register please see the attached flyers or visit the website Michigan.gov/staywell.
These series are free and available to all Michigan residents. Sessions start this week so register as soon as possible. If you are not able to join the live sessions - no problem! Both series recordings will be available to view on the website.
