Understanding Ag labor issues and complying with
Farm Labor Laws has become increasingly more difficult due to the changes in
the laws and the numbers of issues facing farm employers.
The morning session will be an update on labor
regulations that impact farms, including the H2A program, updates from the Immigration and Citizenship
Enforcement Agency, as well as resources from Telamon Corp. and the Michigan
Resource Council.
The afternoon will feature “Updating Farm Safety Plans and Training
Series: Promoting a Safety and Health Management System for Agriculture” (3 RUP credits).
This meeting will be held at the Lenawee County MSU Extension office (1040 S. Winter Street, Adrian, MI), early
registration $30 by February 28 2014, $35 for onsite, includes lunch and
materials.
