Use equal amounts of dishwasher soap and baking soda in your dishwasher. Your dishes and silver will be cleaner and so will the machine.
To treat a leather bag with mildew spots, sponge mildew with 1 tbsp disinfectant diluted in 2 cups of warm water. Alternatively, apply an antiseptic mouthwash on a cotton pad. wipe dry, and buff well with a leather polish.
